Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This is actually lunch from yesterday for the kiddo and the hubby because who has time for lunch on Thanksgiving, right? Besides, need to make some space for the feast tonight! I still thought I'd share lunch, though, and wanted to be sure you readers know how thankful I am for all the comments, feedback, messages, questions, etc. this past year, both here and Facebook. I'm also thankful for all those wonderful bento bloggers out there that I continue to learn from all the time! And my family... always my family. Have a great holiday, and try not to get trampled on Black Friday.

Harvest Nibbler
Today's lunch was a simple fall harvest nibbler. Simple, yummy, fast, and obvious that mom is clinging desperately to fall, even though the snow is the only thing falling at the moment. Sigh...
Wheat Thins crackers, orange bell peppers, celery, pepperoni, red grapes and pomegranate arils, Brown Cow maple Greek yogurt, colby-jack cheese.

Fall Leaf Lunch Duo
So, the Winter Equinox isn't until December 21st, so no matter what the weather has to say about it, it's still fall in my book, so I'm holding out for now. Fall leaves for lunch today for the kiddo and the hubby! Also, an announcement of sorts. Since you may notice that I post lunches for the kiddo and mom or dad on some days, I've decided to start a weekly linkup that will be just that. Duos (or more) of lunches packed for different members of the family with similar ingredients. I'm not sure yet whether this will come in December or as a New Year thing, but stay tuned! I hope you can either come back and link up and/or find great ideas for your own family!

MOMables Not Just For Moms
So, PARENTables just doesn't have the same ring, but MOMables is certainly more than just moms, or even kids, for that matter. In many cases, the ideas I get from them feed the hubby and me, too. Such is the case with today's lunch.

Spam-a-Lot (or a Little)
I'm of the 'let the kid try anything new' sort of mentality. After all, it leads to all sorts of wonderful food choices, right? In most cases, yes. In this case, not so much, but no real harm I suppose. I was wrong about that, too. The kiddo in grabbing pouches of tuna at the grocery store picked up a single serve pack of turkey Spam. Really? I suppose if you want to try it, I'm okay with that. Boy, was I wrong. First off, in Spam's defense, my kid ate it... all of it.. without hesitation. Me? I gagged my way through opening the package, cutting the pieces, and cooking them too. Then, I aired the house out because it spelled of fried cheap dog food for hours. Never. Ever. Again.

More Than Leaves are Falling
It has been bitter and cold around here the last few days. I'm just not ready for the inevitable change of the season. I wish it could be fall (or spring) all year long. So, a simple fall lunch was in order today. One of my favorite things to do is drive around and see the beautiful fall colors, so that is what inspired lunch. I'll just close the drapes for now and ignore the fact that there are some snowflakes falling alongside the leaves.
