My Holiday Star

Zoe's Lunchbox We've had an eventful couple of weeks at the new school, starting with our very first holiday program, and it was so cute. I mean, who can resist a bunch of wee kids singing? Not this mama! They were so cute. Each class sang three songs, then the group as a whole sang another song to wrap up the show. So, for my own little Christmas star, a simple, but special lunch.

The next major thing was our very first field trip, which happened to be Chippewa Nature Center. So fun! But, I'll post more about that another day.

Anyways, I hope everyone's  holiday plans are coming together. Ours are finally getting there. Cookies are all done. Packages wrapped. Preparing for family and fun... and some craziness, too!

Bitty Heart Bento

Today is just a 'Look, Lunch' sort of thing, but so yummy for the kiddo. Smoked Gouda is one of her new favorite cheeses.. now if only I could find it for less than $6 a chunk.. sheesh. Ooh, and those wee crackers in today's lunch? So delicious! If you have a Trader Joe's by you, definitely give them a try.

Simple Sandwich Lunch

Well, it's that time again. Decorations are up. First batch of cookies are done. Shopping? Let's just agree to not talk about that one right now, okay? I am equally amazed and ashamed at how quick Christmas comes and how unprepared I always feel. I know I'm not alone, though, and I'll be making my own list and checking it twice from now until New Year's it seems. Whatever works, right? Oh, and while lunch today is for the hubby, I promise that I'm still feeding my child too. With starting at a new Montessori preschool a couple weeks ago, we're still finding our stride with what works.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This is actually lunch from yesterday for the kiddo and the hubby because who has time for lunch on Thanksgiving, right? Besides, need to make some space for the feast tonight! I still thought I'd share lunch, though, and wanted to be sure you readers know how thankful I am for all the comments, feedback, messages, questions, etc. this past year, both here and Facebook. I'm also thankful for all those wonderful bento bloggers out there that I continue to learn from all the time! And my family... always my family. Have a great holiday, and try not to get trampled on Black Friday.

Harvest Nibbler

Today's lunch was a simple fall harvest nibbler. Simple, yummy, fast, and obvious that mom is clinging desperately to fall, even though the snow is the only thing falling at the moment. Sigh...

Fall Leaf Lunch Duo

So, the Winter Equinox isn't until December 21st, so no matter what the weather has to say about it, it's still fall in my book, so I'm holding out for now. Fall leaves for lunch today for the kiddo and the hubby! Also, an announcement of sorts. Since you may notice that I post lunches for the kiddo and mom or dad on some days, I've decided to start a weekly linkup that will be just that. Duos (or more) of lunches packed for different members of the family with similar ingredients. I'm not sure yet whether this will come in December or as a New Year thing, but stay tuned! I hope you can either come back and link up and/or find great ideas for your own family!
