Go Green Lunch

Have you seen this thing? The Go Green Lunchbox is seriously built like a tank, but in a good way! For it's maiden voyage, I sent it packing with the hubby for lunch. I have to say that while the size was intimidating at first, this really is a great box!

Romaine lettuce, Italian dressing in container, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, fruit jelly, plain Greek yogurt with blueberry preserves, Bugles, avocado, colby jack, mozzarella cheese, and a mint Aero bar.

In this lunch...

  2. What is the fruit jelly for? Does he just eat it plain? I don't see anything in there I'd pair it with, but I am a bit of a picky eater so I am curious. :)
I don't know what an Aero bar is but it looks yummy.

    1. The Aero bar is sort of like the new Hershey air delight where it has air holes basically throughout the chocolate.. only in this case, it was mint chocolate. The fruit jelly is something we found at an Asian grocer. They are basically like a firmer, less sweet version of our fruit jello. Just in there like a little treat. :) Thanks for stopping by!

    2. That makes sense. :) I thought it was literally fruit jelly... which I only put on bread! :) Learn something new every day.

  3. I'm considering purchasing these, but I'd like to know, do your silicon cupcake holders actually
    A. - stay in place? and
    B.- keep food separate?
Once I'm certain of this, I'm so in! But I imagine the food would get mixed up once the lunchbox is in the school bag...

  4. If you are talking about this lunchbox in general, each compartment is sealed and stays separate. If speaking in general, then, yex silicone cups do keep food separated, but you will want to pack the lunchbox in a way that it can be can be carried the same way too. Also, food does stay in place, but it takes some packing practice, so don't get discouraged if you try it once or twice and the food slips around a bit. EasyLunchBoxes are a great place to start, and they also have covered mini containers that fit perfect, as well as coolers. Here's a link if you'd like to check them out - http://amzn.to/U0IGsk

  5. Just this lunchbox - My children are at kindy from 8am until 5pm, and so they take a lot of food, but small servings of food. This lunchbox finally looks big enough! But I want to be able to use the silicon to divide it up a little more.

Being in New Zealand, lunchbox choices are surprisingly and incredibly limited, I have to rely on blogs like these to get a decent idea on how they'd work, especially before I pay to import them.

    Thank you!

    1. Ah.. yes, this is a nice large box. Goodbyn is another one that is larger, but I haven't personally used one. I like this box. It's a bit industrial looking, but it does it's job. I have divided up the compartments with smaller lidded containers, as well as silicone, and if you pack it that way, you should still be fine for food not to get spilled from one container to another. I hope you enjoy it if you choose to try them out.
